On my latest trip to Bangkok city it was the start of the Thai New Year "Song Kran". One of the hottest times of year is met with a 3 day full on water fight. The tradition started off small, splashing water on village elders and family members. Water is seen as way to purify and cleanse the sins. Nowadays, it has changed into water guns, ice water and soaking anyone in sight. Although I enjoyed the fun of it, I also understand what the festival was suppose to be about. I enjoyed the first day and then stuck to the pool and indoors for some well earned R'n'R.
38 degree heat means keeping cool. I wore this striped skirt with a wrap look print from Zara and a cropped halter top. To add a bit of shine I wore my reflective sunglasses I got in Seoul and new platform wedges with hologram strap by Tracy & Belle which I bought from Central Chidlom (one of my old shopping haunts). I feel like this outfit goes well with this city scene background.
